The Late Show With Stephen Colbert “Paul Mescal, Elvis Costello”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Late-night TV can be a mixed bag. Some nights, you get insightful interviews and top-tier musical acts. Other nights… well, let’s just say you find yourself staring at the ceiling, pondering life’s mysteries. But based on the upcoming guest list for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, November 20, this one seems poised to land in the “win” column.

First up, we’ve got Paul Mescal, the star of the highly anticipated Gladiator II. Now, sequels can be tricky, especially when the original is a beloved classic. We’ll see if Mescal can offer any insights into how this one plans to avoid the usual sequel pitfalls. At the very least, he’ll likely discuss his preparation for the role, which probably involved lots of sword-swinging and dramatically gazing off into the Roman sunset.

Then, for music aficionados, Elvis Costello and T Bone Burnett will grace the stage. These two together? It’s a recipe for quality.

The Coward Brothers will also provide a musical performance. I’ll be upfront: I’m not familiar with their oeuvre, but I’m willing to give them a shot.
