The week kicks off with a double dose of Broadway star power. On Monday, February 3, composer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, known for the groundbreaking Hamilton and other theatrical achievements, joins Colbert. Alongside Miranda, the six-time Tony Award-winning actress Audra McDonald, acclaimed for her roles in Carousel, Ragtime, and Porgy and Bess, will also grace the stage.
Tuesday, February 4 shifts gears towards comedy, welcoming actor Miles Teller, known for his roles in Whiplash and Top Gun: Maverick. Joining him is comedian and Emmy-winning host W. Kamau Bell, whose work often blends humor with insightful social commentary.
Wednesday, February 5 offers a mix of comedy and culinary expertise. Actors Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., stars of the new sitcom Poppa’s House, bring familial humor to the Late Show stage. Renowned chef Daniel Boulud, celebrated for his Michelin-starred restaurants, will add a touch of culinary flair to the proceedings. Also, Colbert’s wife, Evie McGee Colbert, returns with her popular Valentine’s Day segment, “First Drafts,” sharing humorous and heartwarming audience-submitted love letters.
Concluding the week on Thursday, February 6, is music legend Elton John, who participates in “The Colbert Questionert,” Colbert’s signature rapid-fire question-and-answer segment. Actress Melanie Lynskey, known for her roles in Yellowjackets and Heavenly Creatures, will also be a guest that evening. Adding a musical performance to the mix, Leon Thomas will present his talents.
