Jools Holland is back, presiding over his legendary musical roundtable, “Later…” This Sunday marks the debut of a new series, and the lineup is, as always, a genre-bending mix of established artists and rising stars.
British rock icons Skunk Anansie take the stage to perform tracks from their new album and chat with Jools at the piano about their storied career, whilst multi-award-winning Cynthia Erivo performs a song from her solo album and joins Jools for an unexpected Beach Boys cover. Irish singer-songwriter CMAT, whose debut album in 2023 was met with critical acclaim, also returns to perform music from her upcoming release.
Plus, making their UK television debuts, are South London goth-rock artist Heartworms and folk musician Sam Amidon. “Later…” is a show about musical discovery. Holland’s deft ability to create a space where diverse acts can connect with an audience is its ongoing success, more than six decades on.
