ABC’s daytime news and talk show GMA3: What You Need to Know returns with another installment of its Faith Friday series. This week, the program welcomes Imam Shamsi Ali, a prominent Indonesian Muslim scholar and interfaith advocate based in New York City. Ali, who leads the Jamaica Muslim Center in Queens, is known for his commitment to fostering understanding between different faiths and denouncing religious extremism. He has received widespread recognition for his work, including the 2008 ICLI Interfaith Award. In addition to his religious leadership roles, Ali is a published author with four books to his name.
Joining Ali on the show is Lauren Wesley Wilson, the founder and CEO of ColorComm, a platform dedicated to advancing women of color in business. Wilson launched ColorComm in 2011 to address the lack of diversity she observed among media professionals. Her efforts have been immensely successful, with ColorComm now serving over 40,000 professionals and boasting partnerships with corporate giants like Coca-Cola and Google. Wilson’s work in diversity and inclusion has earned her numerous awards and recognition.
As always, the show will also feature ABC News chief medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton, who will answer viewer questions and offer valuable wellness advice.
