Law & Order Season 23 continues with “Castle in the Sky,” airing on NBC on Thursday May 2, 2024.
In this installment, Detectives Shaw and Riley find themselves entangled in a complex case when a real estate developer is found dead in one of his own buildings. This season has seen notable cast changes, including the departure of Sam Waterston, who played District Attorney Jack McCoy for over 400 episodes since 1994. Waterston’s final episode aired on February 22, 2024, with his character being replaced by a new district attorney, Nicholas Baxter, played by Tony Goldwyn. Jeffrey Donovan, who portrayed Detective Frank Cosgrove, also exited the series, and Reid Scott joined the cast as Detective Vincent Riley, partnering with Mehcad Brooks’ Detective Jalen Shaw.
