The SVU squad faces one of its most disturbing cases yet when a woman in active labor is abducted. The investigation becomes a desperate race against time to find her and her unborn child. Detectives Rollins and Curry turn to the woman’s doula, the only person who can provide a firsthand account of the events leading up to the kidnapping, hoping she holds the key to locating the victim.
Meanwhile, the case moves to the courtroom, where Carisi is prosecuting with limited physical evidence. He is forced to take a massive gamble by attempting to draw a confession from a suspect in front of the jury. It is a high-risk, high-reward strategy that could either secure a conviction and bring a predator to justice or backfire completely, allowing a dangerous criminal to walk free.
