Adult Swim’s “Lazarus” continues its blend of dystopian sci-fi and offbeat humor this Saturday with “Don’t Stop the Dance.” Set in the not-so-distant future of 2052, the animated series takes us into a world where sickness has been eradicated thanks to a miracle drug called Hapna. But as the team investigates further, they uncover more about Hapna’s unforeseen consequences.
This week, the investigation leads them to the pulsating lights and thumping bass of a nightclub. The target? A club owner who made a fortune off Hapna. Their mission: to track down the elusive Dr. 909, a hacker believed to be in cahoots with Skinner, the enigmatic figure behind the miracle drug.
Expect a healthy dose of the unexpected as the team infiltrates the club scene, gathering intel and hopefully getting a step closer to understanding Skinner’s motives and the true nature of Hapna.
