On 31 August, Sky Arts presents a documentary that revisits Joe Cocker’s legendary musical experiment, “The Return of Mad Dogs and Englishmen.”

This documentary special recalls the spring of 1970 when Cocker embarked on a meteoric two-month tour with a travelling rock & roll commune, crisscrossing the country on a private jet.

The film explores why this one-time tour developed a mythical status among music fans worldwide and the challenges faced in trying to recreate it.
