Lewis Capaldi and Kayna Whitworth Featured on ABC News Live July 7

ABC News Live Prime Key Art

ABC News Live’s Monday, July 7, 2025 broadcast will feature musician Lewis Capaldi and journalist Kayna Whitworth, headlining the evening’s lineup on the streaming news platform.

Capaldi, who recently returned to the spotlight following a break from touring, will be in conversation about music, recovery, and how he’s adjusting to life after stepping back from public performances last year. The Scottish singer-songwriter is expected to address his ongoing health journey as well as updates on upcoming creative projects. His last full-length album topped charts globally and earned him a BRIT Award for Song of the Year.

Also in the three-hour installment is a new edition of “Prime Focus,” the recurring longform segment anchored by Whitworth. This week’s report tracks the aftermath of the Los Angeles wildfires, which tore through parts of Southern California recently. The segment includes footage from the impacted communities and interviews with fire officials, residents, and environmental analysts working on the area’s recovery.

ABC News Live continues to build its evening programming block around topical interviews, in-depth segments, and daily headlines. While the platform primarily serves as a digital companion to ABC News’ linear offerings, its original reporting and field packages have gained traction with viewers and regularly feature in trending news discussions online.

The July 7 edition streams live starting at 7 p.m. ET.
