The Librarians: The Next Chapter sharpens its focus this week with Connor at the centre of the action. The new episode, titled And the Con-Con, airs Monday, June 30, at 9 PM ET on TNT.

The story pivots when Connor’s past intrudes on his present. Old ties resurface. So does a powerful adversary. It’s a personal reckoning that adds weight to the team’s already volatile mission.

Set in the same universe as the original Librarians series, this new chapter follows a fresh team led by Vikram, a time-displaced Librarian from 1847 who accidentally unleashed magic across Europe. Now he’s tasked with cleaning it up, joined by a Guardian, a historian, and a science expert. They’ve got six months to contain the damage.

Connor’s storyline complicates that mission. The appearance of someone from his life before the Library drags unresolved conflicts into the field. For a show built on magical threats, it’s a sharp turn into character-driven tension.

The series generally keeps moving quickly. But this episode slows the pace just enough to dig into a character who, until now, has been playing it cool. That contrast helps. There’s no reset here. Actions carry weight.

Catch The Librarians: The Next Chapter on Monday, June 30, at 9 PM ET on TNT.
