TNT is dusting off the archives for a fresh spin on one of its most recognizable genre brands. The Librarians: The Next Chapter, a continuation of the long-running fantasy adventure franchise, drops its series premiere Sunday, May 25 at 11:30 PM ET with a new cast, new setting—and a monster problem out of Slavic myth.

The pilot, titled “And the Deadly Drekavac,” kicks off the next phase of the Librarians IP with Callum McGowan in the lead as Vikram Chamberlain, a 19th-century Librarian who accidentally lands in present-day Serbia and wakes up a dormant magical Library in the process. Also awakened: a Drekavac, a supernatural predator with a lethal appetite—and the ability to multiply if not stopped.

With ancient magic bleeding across the continent and a six-month clock ticking, Vikram pulls together a new team to contain the fallout. The ensemble includes Jessica Green as no-nonsense Guardian Charlie Cornwall, Olivia Morris as tech-minded Lysa Pascal, Bluey Robinson as modern-day skeptic Connor Green, and Caroline Loncq as mystical scholar Elaine Astalot.

Set primarily in Belgrade, where Vikram’s ancestral castle now doubles as a public museum, the series leans into global mythologies and contemporary threats with the same genre-mashup energy that made the original series a durable draw for TNT.

The Librarians: The Next Chapter is part of TNT’s late-night weekend strategy as the network retools its scripted footprint. The premiere drops May 25 at 11:30 PM ET.
