Lifetime expands its Ripped from the Headlines slate with the upcoming film Buried Alive and Survived, premiering on Saturday, 21 September, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. The movie stars Eva Marcille and Tyler Lepley in a gripping tale of survival and obsession.
The film centres on Alicia (Marcille), a woman who finds herself in a nightmarish situation after her ex-husband, Victor (Lepley), is released from prison. Alicia, determined to protect herself and her son, resists Victor’s attempts at reconciliation. However, Victor’s obsession takes a sinister turn as he traps Alicia underground and buries her alive.
Produced by Swirl Films, the movie is executive produced by Abbey Sibucao, Ron Robinson, and Eric Tomosunas. Directed by Manu Boyer, the teleplay is written by Gregory Small and Richard Blaney, based on a story by Nigel Campbell.
