Lindsay Lohan on Tuesday’s The View was talking motherhood and holiday movies. Is this peak 2024? Maybe. But frankly, I’m here for it. The actress, once tabloid fodder, now seems genuinely happy discussing her son, Luai, and how quickly he’s growing. She even pulls out her phone to show off the daily photos she takes of him each morning. Now that’s dedication.
Naturally, the conversation veered into “Mean Girls” territory. Lohan, referencing her iconic role as Cady Heron, joked about being a “cool mom.” The audience, predictably, ate it up. It’s a schtick, sure, but a welcome one. Who doesn’t love a little “Mean Girls” nostalgia?
But Lohan’s not just coasting on past glories. She’s got a new Netflix Christmas movie, Our Little Secret (check out the trailer below), and she’s clearly aware of the power of holiday films. She spoke about becoming part of viewers’ family traditions, a sentiment that felt surprisingly sincere. The film also features her former “Mean Girls” co-star, Tim Meadows, along with Kristin Chenoweth, further solidifying its festive credentials. Lohan even commented on the positive on-set energy, which, let’s face it, is sometimes code for “no drama this time, folks.”
Our Little Secret looks to be a typical holiday offering, but with Lohan’s star power and a dash of “Mean Girls” magic, it might just be the heartwarming escape we need this Christmas. Or not. We’ll see.
The View airs weekdays on ABC.
