Could there be any more “Friends” content? Apparently so. Whitney Cummings stops by “LIVE with Kelly and Mark” this Thursday to talk up “Fast Friends,” her new Max game show putting “Friends” superfans’ knowledge to the ultimate test. Consider it a celebration of the sitcom’s impending 30th anniversary. Between the pop-up experiences, themed cafes, and that reunion special, the cultural obsession with Central Perk and its inhabitants clearly hasn’t waned. Now, “Fast Friends,” a four-part series, aims to separate the casual viewers from the Geller-obsessed.
But Thursday’s episode isn’t all ’90s nostalgia. Anika Noni Rose also joins the “LIVE” festivities to discuss Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King,” a prequel digging into the backstory of everyone’s favorite regal lion. This origin story, hitting theaters the same day, suggests Disney isn’t quite ready to let the Pride Lands lie fallow.
And because the holidays are fast approaching, another round of the “Holly Jolly Games” adds some festive cheer to the proceedings. Who needs eggnog when you’ve got trivia, charades, and whatever other Yuletide-themed antics Kelly and Mark have cooked up?
Tune in to “LIVE with Kelly and Mark” Thursday, December 19 at 9:00 AM on ABC.
