On Friday May 10, 2024, ABC’s LIVE with Kelly and Mark welcomes Jennifer Lopez, Mariska Hargitay, and Steve Patterson to the show.
Jennifer Lopez, an actress and musician, joins the show to discuss her upcoming sci-fi thriller film, “Atlas,” where she portrays a military intelligence officer on a mission to capture a renegade robot. Lopez’s character, Atlas Shepherd, is a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence. When her mission goes awry, she must put her faith in AI to save humanity. The film, directed by Brad Peyton, also stars Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong. “Atlas” will be released by Netflix on May 24, 2024.
Mariska Hargitay, an actress, producer, and advocate, joins the show to discuss her partnership with Purina for the Purple Leash Project. The Purple Leash Project aims to address the issue of domestic violence and the low number of pet-friendly shelters. Through this initiative, Purina hopes to increase the number of pet-friendly domestic violence shelters and provide resources for survivors and their pets.
Steve Patterson, a Canadian stand-up comedian, writer, and host, will bring his signature satire and observational comedy to the show. Patterson has been a full-time comedian since 1996 and has performed across Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He is known for his appearances at the Just for Laughs comedy festival and for hosting CBC Radio One’s “The Debaters.”
