On Friday, August 9, LIVE with Kelly and Mark welcomes actor Michael Urie, chef and author Kwame Onwuachi, and chef Andrew Rea. Urie will discuss his role in the Broadway revival of Once Upon a Mattress, while Onwuachi will present another “Foodfluencer Friday: Trending Summer Food Faves”, and Rea will give a lesson in knife sharpening.
Michael Urie, known for his role as Marc St. James on the ABC series Ugly Betty, returns to the stage as Prince Dauntless in the Broadway revival of Once Upon a Mattress. The show, directed by Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Lorin Latarro, features music by Mary Rodgers and lyrics by Marshall Barer. Urie stars alongside Sutton Foster, who plays Winnifred the Woebegone.
Kwame Onwuachi, a Nigerian-American chef based in New York City, will present another “Foodfluencer Friday: Trending Summer Food Faves”. Onwuachi, a published author and restaurateur, has been recognised by Food & Wine magazine, Esquire magazine, and the James Beard Foundation as a “Rising Star Chef of the Year”. He has also co-authored two books: Notes from a Young Black Chef and My America: Recipes from a Young Black Chef.
Chef Andrew Rea will give a lesson in knife sharpening. Rea, who is based in Brooklyn, has previously floated the idea of opening a brew pub called “The Babery”, where customers can watch him film episodes of his online cooking show, Babish.
