On Wednesday, May 29, LIVE with Kelly and Mark welcomes Oscar-winning director Ron Howard and rock band Crowded House to the show.
Ron Howard, the director of films such as “A Beautiful Mind” and “Apollo 13,” joins the show to discuss his latest documentary, “Jim Henson: Idea Man,” which premieres on Disney+ on May 31, 2024. The film provides an intimate look at the life and work of Muppet and Sesame Street creator Jim Henson, featuring interviews with his family, friends, and collaborators, as well as never-before-seen archival footage, photographs, and sketches.
Crowded House, a rock band formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1985, joins the show to perform. The band, led by New Zealand musician and singer-songwriter Neil Finn, initially gained success with their self-titled debut album, which included the hits “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong.” After disbanding in 1996, they reunited in 2007 and have since released two more albums, “Time on Earth” and “Intriguer.” Their most recent album, “Dreamers Are Waiting,” was released in 2021.
LIVE with Kelly and Mark airs Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. on ABC.
