Long Way Home Trailer: McGregor & Boorman Take the Scenic Route

Long Way Home Key Art

Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for the newest chapter in Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman’s motorcycle travelogue series, titled Long Way Home. This time, the pair undertake a lengthy journey using vintage bikes, starting in Scotland and ending in England.

Here’s the Lowdown: The 10-episode series follows the duo riding refurbished old motorbikes. Instead of a direct route from McGregor’s Scottish home to Boorman’s English one, they travel across the North Sea to Scandinavia, up to the Arctic Circle, down through the Baltics and continental Europe, covering over 15 countries in two months.

What This Means Now: Fans of the previous Long Way installments (Round, Down, Up) can expect more scenic vistas, cultural encounters, and the pair’s signature camaraderie. The focus is on the journey itself, exploring different countries and engaging in local activities along their winding path back towards the UK.

The Bigger Picture: This series continues the successful partnership between McGregor, Boorman, and producers/directors David Alexanian and Russ Malkin. It adds another installment to Apple TV+’s library of unscripted travel and adventure content, building on the appeal of the recognizable stars and the established format of their previous journeys.
