“For the Love of Dogs” returns to ITV1 this Tuesday with a new presenter and a fresh batch of heartwarming stories from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Taking over hosting duties from the late Paul O’Grady, Alison Hammond brings her infectious enthusiasm to the series, joining the dedicated staff as they care for the dogs and cats in need of loving homes.
This week, Alison visits Battersea, where she meets some new canine companions, including Turkish kangal Minnie, who will be getting some help getting over her fear of being weighed on the scales. Katie Piper also stops by, meeting a litter of adorable abandoned puppies and their mother. A bit of kennel makeover magic brightens the day for a homesick bichon frise who is just missing its home comforts.
“For the Love of Dogs” continues its long tradition of celebrating the human-animal bond, sharing the stories of the animals who come through Battersea’s doors and the people who work tirelessly to give them a second chance at happiness. Tune in to ITV1 this Tuesday at 8:30 PM GMT.
