For the Love of Dogs: Episode 6 (ITV1, Tuesday, May 6, 2025)

Generic Dog West Highland Terrier running in a field.

This Tuesday, Alison Hammond spends more time at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, sharing stories from the animals on “For the Love of Dogs.” In this series, Alison gets involved helping find new families for some of Battersea’s residents.

This week, she meets a particularly interesting dog: a Romanian mioritic shepherd who has become quite scared of stairs and doorways. Alison and the Battersea team work together to help this big fella build his confidence and find a loving home.

Also needing attention is a small Bichon with a big voice – this little one barks quite a lot! Alison tries some ways to help the pup settle down. And then things get really lively when a van from the RSPCA arrives, bringing seven Belgian shepherd cross puppies to the centre.
