Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta “Keep Calm & Wagwan” (MTV, Tuesday, January 21, 2025)

Will Unruly Fest even happen? That’s the question looming over the next episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, as personal dramas reach critical mass. Apparently, “Keep Calm & Wagwan” (that’s Jamaican for “what’s going on,” for those not up on their patois) applies to everything but the relationships of this cast.

First up, the Bambi and Scrappy saga continues its descent into chaos. Their ongoing feud seems set to torpedo the group’s plans for Unruly Fest. Will Scrappy be ostracized from his own event? Will security be beefed up to prevent an all-out brawl? The potential fallout could reshape the show’s dynamic.

Elsewhere in relationship wreckage, Joc and Kendra are apparently off to see their pastor. Now, couples don’t usually seek spiritual guidance when things are peachy keen. This suggests trouble in paradise, or at least a serious disagreement about what constitutes appropriate paradise-themed throw pillows.

But the most concerning storyline revolves around Momma Dee. An unexpected trip to the ER injects a dose of reality into the usual manufactured drama. While Love & Hip Hop thrives on conflict, a genuine health scare reminds us that these are real people with real problems, sometimes beyond the scope of a well-timed table flip. Let’s hope Momma Dee has a speedy recovery.
