Love & Hip Hop: Miami “Blac & White”

Love & Hip Hop Miami Key Art

VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Miami returns for its sixth season, and — surprise! — Blac Chyna’s along for the ride. The reality TV veteran, accompanied by boyfriend Derrick Milano, joins a cast already brimming with enough personality to fuel several zip codes. Let’s face it, adding Chyna to this mix is like adding gasoline to a bonfire — and I mean that in the most potentially entertaining way.

Chyna’s arrival isn’t the only source of fireworks in the premiere, titled “Blac & White.” Amara La Negra, never one to shy away from confrontation, sets her sights on Florence and Eliza. Their apparent meddling in Amara’s engagement is likely to be addressed with the subtlety of a foghorn, so prepare for that decibel level.

Meanwhile, Trina’s celebrating a milestone (details are scarce, but one imagines it’s not her driver’s license renewal). Yet, even amidst the celebration, whispers and rumors circulate, threatening to throw shade on her big day. It’s Love & Hip Hop, after all; happiness is often fleeting, like a well-applied lip gloss in a Miami nightclub.

So, is Chyna a good fit for Love & Hip Hop: Miami? Is this season going to be a glorious train wreck or just a tedious traffic jam? The premiere looks like it’s going to at least start with a bang, which is all you can ask for in this realm of manufactured drama and aspirational lifestyles. Tune in to VH1 on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 8:00 PM ET to see how it all plays out.
