Is peace even an option in Huntsville? Not if this week’s Love & Marriage: Huntsville has anything to say about it. “Stirring the Pot Over Drinks” — the title alone should send a shiver down your spine — finds our reality TV subjects facing a fresh batch of interpersonal explosions.
First up, a family gathering goes sideways faster than a three-wheeled shopping cart in a Walmart parking lot. Ken and Tricia lock horns with Marques, presumably over something more substantial than the last deviled egg. Given their history, one can only assume passive-aggressive comments and thinly veiled insults will fly like cheap champagne corks at a New Year’s Eve party in a strip mall.
Meanwhile, the fallout from Maurice’s DUI arrest continues to ripple through the group. Melody, never one to shy away from a confrontation (or five), takes Maurice to task over his recent legal troubles. One imagines this conversation will be less about gentle concern and more about a full-throated airing of grievances. Let’s just hope there are enough throw pillows in the room to absorb the impact.
On a marginally less volatile front, Chris is apparently still intent on renewing his vows with Nell. The potential for awkward silences and forced smiles is high.
And then, the main event: Kimmi and Melody square off. Kimmi, armed with what she believes is incriminating evidence – lipstick on Maurice? – confronts Melody about implications surrounding Maurice’s arrest. This is the reality TV equivalent of throwing a lit match into a gasoline-soaked dumpster fire. Expect fireworks, or at least some seriously scorched earth.
Tune in if you enjoy watching other people’s relationships implode while safely ensconced on your own sofa.
Love & Marriage: Huntsville airs Saturdays at 8:00 PM on OWN.
