Lovers and Liars returns on Thursday April 18 on The CW for a brand new episode, “I’m Not Ready for This Convo,” taking viewers on a journey filled with romance, deception, and unexpected twists.
In this episode, the well-manicured claws come out as the first dates get underway, intensifying the competition among the contestants. CJ and Casey’s player ways resurface, creating intriguing dynamics and potential alliances. Meanwhile, Benedict finds himself caught in the middle of a dramatic showdown between The Powerpuff Girls and the Jazzmanian Devil, adding a layer of complexity to the game.
The CW’s latest dating show, “Lovers and Liars“, hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, is a unique twist on the traditional dating show format. The show features three men and twenty-four women on a tropical island, but there’s a catch. While half of the women are genuinely looking for love, the other half are there to deceive and win the cash prize of $100,000.
The men are faced with the challenging task of separating the lovers from the liars. The show is created by Elan Gale, known for his work on “The Bachelor” franchise, and executive produced by Gale, Jason Goldberg, Nikki Glaser, Noah Fogelson, and Bob Simonds.
“Lovers and Liars” is a spin-off of the popular series “FBoy Island”, which aired on HBO Max for three seasons before being picked up by The CW. The original show featured women trying to weed out the “nice guys” from the you know what. With the new series, The CW has flipped the script, putting men in the hot seat as they attempt to find true love among a group of women with hidden agendas.
The first episode, introduced the three men and twenty-four women, setting the stage for a dramatic season filled with romance, deception, and strategic gameplay. The men, Benedict Polizzi (Season 2), CJ Weathers (Season 3), and Casey Johnson (Season 1), are fan favorites from previous seasons of F-Boy Island, bringing their own brand of charm and charisma to the show.
