Things are about to get a bit chaotic in Ste Victoire. This week’s “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” finds Jean at the center of another baffling case, one that involves a decapitated statue, a library attack, and the unwelcome return of a familiar gangster.
The episode, titled “Bad Education,” kicks off with a shocking discovery at the local library: a bronze statue of Hathor is missing its head, and the night watchman, Thomas, lies critically injured. As Jean and Dom attend a local auction, they encounter gangster John Marsden, who has a favor to ask Jean, reminding her of a past accusation.
The investigation into the library incident leads Jean and Caron to two students, Nellie and Gaynor, found riding a stolen moped. Are they the culprits? Meanwhile, Suzanne, the head librarian, frets over the library’s reputation in the wake of the statue’s destruction.
With the unexpected reappearance of John Marsden, along with the usual colorful cast of Ste Victoire residents, “Bad Education” looks set to be another entertaining installment of the mystery series. Catch it this Thursday, April 3rd at 9:00 PM on 5.
