Murder and intrigue return to the picturesque village of Saint Victoire as “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” begins its fourth season on Channel 5. Jean White, the resourceful antiques expert, finds herself embroiled in another puzzling case, this one with ties to a collection of rare coins. However, Jean and Dom have a secret – their own blossoming romance, which needs to be handled carefully, especially as the body is discovered by Judith and Jeremy. While in the car park, Jean spotted a figure, which could be of use to solving the mystery.
In “Beach Club,” the season premiere, Jean teams up with the ever-reliable Police Chief Inspector André Caron to investigate the death of Antoine Lefevre, whose body was discovered under mysterious circumstances, with rare coins placed on his eyes. The peculiar detail immediately raises questions: were the coins simply a macabre touch added by the killer, or do they hold a clue to the motive behind Antoine’s demise?
As Jean and Caron dig into the victim’s life, they uncover a world of secrets, rivalries, and hidden desires. The investigation leads them through the sun-drenched streets and shady corners of Saint Victoire, where everyone seems to have something to hide.
