Mark Wright is set to join the BBC One home-makeover show “Clean It, Fix It,” presenting alongside DIY veteran Tommy Walsh, cleaning expert Maxine Dwyer, and creative carpenter Asher Edwards.
The popular practical problem-solving series is currently filming across the UK and will return to BBC One and iPlayer in 2025, with Mark making his debut in series four.
Mark Wright shared his enthusiasm for property and renovations, stating he is “delighted to be joining such a wonderful team.” He added “Clean It, Fix It has a heart, we come in and help people out who sometimes can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, so helping people in this way is great, and sometimes tugs on the heart-strings – especially when the owners see the finished result.”
Each episode will see the team given two days to transform homes in need of TLC, offering solutions for storage shortages, cleaning crises, and DIY disasters.
Audiences will also benefit from handy tips and tricks from the experts, providing achievable hacks to tackle similar problems in their own homes.
Alex McLeod, Commissioner for BBC Daytime, highlighted the show’s timely nature amid the cost-of-living crisis, offering both “light relief” and cost-effective home improvement ideas.
Claire Simpson, Executive Producer at Curve Media, promised “warmth and fun” in this new series, with plenty of energy and practical content.
“Clean It, Fix It” will return to BBC One and iPlayer next year and is commissioned by Rob Unsworth, Head of BBC Daytime and Early Peak Commissioning. The Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime is Alex McLeod and the Executive Producer for Curve Media is Claire Simpson.
