Married at First Sight returns to Channel 9 for a tenth season on Monday 30 January at 7.30pm for what is sure to be another intense roller coaster season. It’s time to meet the brides and grooms who will walking blindly down the aisle. Sandy is 36 and from VIC. She is a dental hygenist.
Sandy, now in her mid-30s, has never had a meaningful relationship and has limited experience with men.
Sandy’s parents were steadfast in their commitment to the cultural norms of India, despite the fact that she was born in Australia. Because she was forbidden to associate with guys and had no male acquaintances, she had limited experiences with the opposite sex. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at an all-female university.
Sandy’s lack of dating experience and the accompanying anxiety about being used for “one thing” causes her a great deal of self-doubt. Now she wants to skip ahead in her education with someone who will respect her limits and help her get over her apprehensions quickly.
Sandy has high hopes for the MAFS experiment because her parents’ arranged marriage is still going strong. She’s putting her faith in the matchmakers, hoping to find her a caring soul mate at a glamorous Bollywood celebration.
