This Wednesday on HGTV’s “Married to Real Estate,” Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson face a design dilemma with a distinctly carnivorous twist. In “Meat Chic,” they’re helping newlyweds find and renovate a Craftsman-style home in Atlanta. Simple enough, right? Not so fast. The couple has drastically different tastes, which presents a unique challenge for Egypt and Mike, but the real catch involves the husband’s extensive collection of “quality meats.”
Finding a place for the meats—and presumably the equipment needed to prepare them—takes center stage in this episode. Can Egypt and Mike create a design that blends both the husband’s “meat chic” aspirations and the wife’s more conventional aesthetic? Will the couple be satisfied or find themselves in a domestic cold cut war?
