In the second episode of this third season of Matt Baker: Travels with Mum & Dad, the Bakers explore exceptional sights in northern England with a new addition to the family: Archie the puppy. With summer in full swing, Matt, Mike, and Janice attend one of Durham’s most prestigious social events: the 191st Durham Regatta. They play a part in preparing for the occasion, with Matt and Janice serving as honorary umpires, and Mike meeting a veteran rower with a world-beating reputation.
The family also uncovers the secrets of Durham Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They discover the city’s oldest surviving building within the castle grounds. Plus, they take a ride in a rare vintage car to visit the exotic wonders of the Durham University Botanic Garden.
