In Bellingham, the family immerses themselves in local culture and traditions. They lend a hand in gathering botanicals, which will be crafted into distinctive local ales, offering a taste of the region’s unique flavors. Janice, always curious, learns the art of candlemaking, capturing the essence of the woods in her creations.
The Bakers’ journey culminates in an extraordinary experience at the Kielder Observatory, located within the Gold Tier Dark Skies area. Here, they embark on a simulated walk on Mars, an otherworldly adventure that provides a fitting conclusion to their exploration of the forest’s natural wonders and hidden gems.
