Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable Cancelled by U&Dave After Four Series

Unforgiveable Key Art

UKTV has confirmed that the comedy panel show Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable will not be returning for a fifth series on U&Dave. The show featured celebrities confessing their worst behaviour.

Here’s the Lowdown: The format, hosted by Mel Giedroyc with co-host Lou Sanders, had comedians and celebrities revealing their “dirtiest lies, most outrageous sins, and all the secrets they’ve kept buried.” The goal was to convince Giedroyc they were the most “unforgivable” guest.

What This Means Now: Fans of the show will be disappointed, but UKTV has stated they are open to future collaborations with Giedroyc, Sanders, and the production company, Expectation. This leaves a possibility, though not a certainty, of other projects.

The Bigger Picture: Although cancelled, Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable ran for four series and featured a wide array of celebrity guests, including Rylan, Daisy May Cooper, Rafe Spall, Carol Vorderman, Lucy Beaumont, Alex Jones, Ross Kemp and Omid Djalili. Past episodes are still available to watch on UKTV Play. The cancellation shows that ratings and other factors can impact if a show continues, despite its popularity.
