With exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Merseyside Police, as well as personal accounts from the victims’ grieving families, this documentary series, spread across four consecutive nights, is an emotional insight into the aftermath of these senseless crimes.
In this episode, Olivia’s mother, Cheryl, makes a heartfelt public appeal, directly addressing her daughter’s killer and urging anyone with information to come forward. Meanwhile, voice notes discovered on Ashley’s phone reveal a longstanding feud between her boyfriend and the leader of a local organised crime group, indicating a potential motive.
Despite arrests being made in connection to Olivia’s murder, the investigation stalls as witnesses remain tight-lipped. Frustrated but determined, Merseyside police once again plead with the people of Liverpool to break their silence and help bring justice to the victims, even in the face of a strong ‘no-grass’ culture. Finally, there is a breakthrough as key witnesses step forward, providing the police with a name.
