Mavis Beaumont is back! Survival of the Thickest, the comedy series starring Michelle Buteau, returns to Netflix for its second season on March 27. The show follows Mavis, a Black, plus-size stylist, as she works on her career, embraces self-love, and finds her way in the world of romance.

Here’s the Lowdown: Season 2, dropping on March 27, sees Mavis continuing her quest to build her brand as a stylist. She relies on her chosen family, a positive outlook, and her signature style to not just survive, but to succeed. The eight-episode season is based on Buteau’s book of essays.
