Fog, cobblestones, and a serial killer lurking in the shadows: it must be another Sunday night on “Masterpiece.” This week, Eliza Scarlet finds herself entangled in a particularly gruesome case involving a serial killer dubbed “The Thames Reaper.” As bodies pile up in the murky depths of the Thames, tensions rise between Scotland Yard and the ever-nosy Fleet Street press, further complicating Eliza’s investigation.

Eliza, of course, isn’t one to be deterred by a little police interference. She’s like a Victorian bulldog with a magnifying glass, tenacious and determined to solve the case, even if it means ruffling a few feathers. Will Eliza unmask the Thames Reaper before he claims another victim? Or will she become his next headline?
