Missing You: Cast Announced for Harlan Coben’s Latest Netflix Adaptation

The upcoming Netflix limited series Missing You, based on Harlan Coben’s novel, has announced its full cast. Missing You centers on Detective Kat Donovan, whose life is turned upside down when her fiancé, Josh Buchanan, disappears without a trace. Eleven years later, she spots Josh’s face on a dating app, prompting her to revisit the mystery of her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets.

Ashley Walters, known for Top Boy and Bulletproof, will portray Josh Buchanan. James Nesbitt, from Stay Close and Bloodlands, takes on the role of Calligan, while Matt Jay-Willis, from Wolves of War and Love is Blind, plays Darryl. They join a cast that includes Rosalind Eleazar, Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage, Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Samantha Spiro, Lisa Faulkner, and Mary Malone.

Missing You relocates the story from the US to the UK, with filming currently underway in Manchester and the North West of England. The series will consist of five hour-long episodes, following in the footsteps of the 2024 hit limited thriller Fool Me Once, which was also produced by Quay Street Productions and ranks sixth on Netflix’s all time Top 10 English-language shows.
