In the second episode of Moonflower Murders, the sequel to last years Magpie Murders and based on the novel by Anthony Horowitz, Susan (Lesley Manville) checks into the Treherne Hotel, where she encounters Lisa, the sister of Cecily, and Aiden, Cecily’s husband.
As Susan digs deeper into the mystery, she learns more about the hotel night manager and spa manager, both of whom maintain that former employee Stefan was rightfully convicted of murdering Frank Parris.
Meanwhile, in the flashback narrative “Atticus Pünd Takes The Case,” Pünd and his assistant, Madeline Cain, travel to Melissa James’ home to investigate her murder. There, they meet Detective Inspector Chubb and learn about potential suspects, which include Melissa’s doctor and husband.
Moonflower Murders airs Sundays at 9:00 pm on PBS.
