The age-old battle between moonshiners and the law continues on Discovery this Tuesday with a special episode of “Moonshiners”: “Caught in the Act.” Tim, Tickle, Mark, and Digger are back, using their backwoods savvy and generations-old techniques to try and stay one step ahead of the authorities. But the law has a few new tricks up its sleeve.
This episode looks to be a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, with both sides employing increasingly sophisticated tactics. The moonshiners rely on hidden still sites, intricate distribution networks, and a healthy dose of Appalachian ingenuity to ply their trade. Law enforcement, in turn, has ramped up its efforts, using advanced technology in an attempt to catch these illicit distillers red-handed.
“Caught in the Act” takes a look into the changing landscape of moonshining, where tradition clashes with modern surveillance methods. Will the long arm of the law finally clamp down on these backwoods brewers, or will the moonshiners find a way to slip through the net once more?
