More4 is set to air a new observational documentary series, ‘Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids’, produced by Leeds-based Wise Owl Films. The series follows the Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen, her husband Clive, and their nine children as they undertake a renovation project in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Owens take on the challenge of restoring a derelict neighbouring farmhouse, known as Anty John’s, with the aim of securing their family’s future. The series captures their journey as they collaborate with local tradespeople to bring their vision to fruition, navigating the changing seasons, challenging elements, and the intricacies of renovating a listed property in a remote location.
Amanda also investigates the farmhouse’s history, revealing the fascinating stories of its previous owners and their role in local history.
“filming outdoors on an exposed hill end in Swaledale was at times a huge challenge for the Wise Owl film crew, but their dedication and enthusiasm has never waned” Amanda Owen remarked about the process. The series consists of 10 episodes, airing as two 5-episode series on More4.
‘Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids’ was commissioned by Jayne Stanger and Jo Street of Channel 4. The series is produced by Wise Owl Films, the team behind ‘Amanda Owen’s Farming Lives’. James Knight serves as series producer, and Mark Robinson is the executive producer. Wise Owl Films is part of All3Media’s non-scripted label, Lime Pictures.
Cineflix Rights holds the exclusive worldwide distribution rights for the series.
