Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing: Rocklands Mere, Norfolk – Tench (BBC Two, Sunday 22 September 2024)

Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing

In the season 7 premiere of Gone Fishing, Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer head to Rocklands Mere in the quaint village of Rocklands St Peter, Norfolk, to fish for tench.

This marks a return to a fish species they haven’t targeted since the first series, adding a sense of nostalgia to their trip. The friends settle down at the secluded and hidden gem of a lake, enjoying a peaceful day of fishing.

Their first day at the lake goes perfectly, and they decide to celebrate with a well-deserved pint at a charming Norfolk pub, The Brisley Bell. Bob surprises Paul by revealing they will be staying overnight, a delightful turn of events. Their fishing trip takes an even more pleasant turn when Dr. Anand Patel pays them a visit by the lake.
