The documentary series Mozart: Rise of a Genius debuts on BBC Two, with a look into the life and struggles of the legendary composer. Mozart travels to Mannheim, the musical capital of Europe at the time, and Paris, where he explores a new form of popular musical performance. Just as his career takes off, he endures a tragic loss with his mother’s death and faces challenges posed by his oppressive father.
