Agnes Brown, Finglas’s most notorious busybody, is at it again. This time, she’s turning her spare room into a bed and breakfast, because why not invite complete strangers into your home and subject them to your eccentric family? In the new “Mrs. Brown’s Boys” special, airing on BBC One on New Years Day, Agnes’ latest venture coincides with the unfortunate escape of a local criminal. This, of course, is a recipe for disaster, and hilarity, in the Brown household.
While Agnes fusses over doilies and breakfast spreads, a dangerous individual is roaming the streets of Finglas, setting the stage for comical mishaps and outrageous situations. Will Agnes inadvertently harbor the fugitive? Will her guests become unwitting accomplices? And will Winnie even notice the heightened sense of danger amidst the usual domestic chaos?
The festive special, featuring guest star Steve Spiers, continues the show’s tradition of holiday-themed episodes. Expect plenty of slapstick, double entendres, and Agnes’ signature brand of meddling.
