The teaser trailer for Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” was unveiled today, along with the announcement that the series will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on June 8. The trailer provides fans their first glimpse at the MCU’s newest Super Hero as she juggles high school, family, and her developing superpowers.

“Ms. Marvel,” a new original series from Marvel Studios, introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American kid growing up in Jersey City. Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an expansive imagination, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel. She is an enthusiastic gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe. Kamala, on the other hand, feels out of place at school and sometimes even at home — that is, until she gains superpowers like the heroes she has always admired. Isn’t it true that having superpowers makes life better?

Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. The cast also includes Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.

Episodes are directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Bisha K. Ali are the executive producers. Co-executive producers for the series are Sana Amanat and Trevor Waterson, and Bisha K. Ali is the head writer.
