Channel 5 continues its new crime drama Murder Most Puzzling this Thursday, July 3, at 8:00 PM, with what looks to be a pivotal third episode. The quaint setting of Bakerbury is once again the backdrop for trouble, as love, ambition, and danger swirl around its inhabitants.
In this next chapter, wealthy businessman Ray Hendrix (Chris Patrick-Simpson) and his wife Gloria (Sarah Alexander) decide to back a concert featuring Dennis Pride (Ben Freeman). This move no doubt stirs the local pot, but the biggest shake-up appears to affect Cora (Phyllis Logan) directly. She finds herself drawn into a new romance with a charming man named Gilbert (Kevin McNally – star Logan’s real life husband), which quickly becomes a distraction from the town’s underlying unrest.
As the episode progresses, Cora faces a difficult choice when DCI Hooper (Adam Best) falls victim to Mayor Firth (Richard Croxford). The official description hints that Cora might find her new love interest to be less than perfect, putting her instincts to the test. With everything Cora and Sherry (Charlotte Hope) have built hanging in the balance, Cora may need to put herself on the line to save Bakerbury.
