Gibsons, the quaint coastal town at the heart of FOX’s “Murder In A Small Town,” is about to experience a whole different kind of artistic expression – the disturbing tableau of a serial killer. In the season finale, “Sleep While I Sing,” Detective Alberg (Rossif Sutherland) finds himself staring down a ticking clock, his canvas the unsettling pattern of murders sweeping through the once-peaceful community. But instead of brushes and paint, Alberg’s tools are observation and deduction, his medium the unsettling works of art that seem to hold the key to the killer’s identity.
As fear tightens its grip on Gibsons, Alberg races against time, knowing that every brushstroke, every misplaced shadow in these artistic creations could be a clue. The pressure cooker atmosphere is intensified by the arrival of a new face in town, played by none other than Noah Reid, fresh off his “Schitt’s Creek” success. Is Reid he an unwitting pawn, a red herring, or something far more sinister?
“Sleep While I Sing” sees Corporal Edwina Yen (Mya Lowe), Sergeant Sid Sokolowski (Aaron Douglas), and Constable Andy Kendrick (Fritzy-Klevans Destine) rally around Alberg. Also returning is Cassandra Lee (Kristin Kreuk), whose insights may prove crucial in deciphering the artistic clues. With a supporting cast including Lucas Bryant, Gardiner Millar, Liza Huget, Tammy Gillis, and Alisha Newton, the stage is set for a dramatic showdown. Will Alberg’s artistic eye capture the killer before they claim another victim, or will Gibsons become a permanent exhibit in a gallery of the macabre?
“Murder In A Small Town” airs Tuesdays at 8:00 PM EST on FOX. Don’t miss the season finale, “Sleep While I Sing,” on Tuesday, November 26.
