In the series premiere of Murder in Small Town, Rossif Sutherland stars as Karl Alberg, a former detective who relocates to a tranquil, coastal town seeking a peaceful life. However, he soon discovers that the idyllic setting belies a place rife with secrets. When a local resident is brutally murdered in their own home, Alberg’s investigative instincts kick in, and he finds himself drawn into the town’s mysteries.
The debut episode, airing on Tuesday night on FOX, features a guest appearance by James Cromwell, who portrays George Wilcox, a longtime resident of the town. Alberg’s path also crosses with that of Cassandra Lee, the local librarian played by Kristin Kreuk, as they embark on a first date.
The town’s serenity is shattered by the brutal bludgeoning of a longtime resident in their own home. Alberg, unable to resist the pull of his former profession, launches an investigation to determine if another local is responsible for the heinous crime.
The cast also includes Rossif Sutherland as Karl Alberg, Kristin Kreuk as Cassandra Lee, Mya Lowe as Corporal Edwina Yen, Aaron Douglas as Sergeant Sid Sokolowski, and Fritzy-Klevans Destine as Constable Andy Kendrick.
