My Kind of Town: Campbeltown (BBC Scotland, Thursday, 12 September 2024)

My Kind of Town

In the latest episode of My Kind of Town, Ian Hamilton and his guide dog, Major, venture to Campbeltown, a town in the stunning Mull of Kintyre, which is one of the most westerly towns in the UK.

Ian embarks on a unique exploration of the town, utilizing a side-by-side electric tricycle, and even hitching a ride on a tractor. He takes the driver’s seat himself on one of Europe’s longest runways.

Ian’s journey includes a round of blind golf at the renowned Machrihanish course and a visit to the production line of chocolates that graced the Oscars gift bag. Of course, no trip to one of Scotland’s great whisky regions would be complete without a taste of the local dram.
