Mysteries From Above Key Art

Sky History’s “Mysteries From Above” takes viewers on a high-flying tour of urban landscapes, revealing hidden stories and forgotten secrets from a unique perspective. In “Great Cities,” airing this Thursday, the series trains its cameras on famous and forgotten urban centers across the globe, using drone, satellite, and aerial imagery to uncover what lies beneath the surface.

This episode tackles four distinct stories. One looks at a vital urban area threatened by the very real possibility of sinking into oblivion. Another examines vast ruins hidden beneath the Sahara Desert, a lost civilization waiting to be rediscovered. The episode also takes us to the edge of the Gobi Desert, exploring the modern mystery of an ancient fortress and the echoes of a nearby ghost town. By shifting our perspective – literally taking us above the familiar – “Mysteries From Above” aims to change how we see the world, both past and present. “Mysteries From Above” airs Thursday, 29 May at 10:00 PM GMT on Sky History.
