“Naked and Afraid” returns to Discovery this Sunday for it’s second episode of the evening, dropping two survivalists into the unforgiving wilderness of the Philippine jungle. “The Serpent’s Cove,” however, presents a unique challenge for one of the participants: a military veteran with a crippling fear of snakes. Paired with a Canadian cattle rancher, the veteran must confront their phobia head-on while facing 21 days of deprivation and danger.
Stripped bare (literally) and deprived of basic necessities, the duo must rely on their wits and skills to navigate the treacherous terrain. But as if the elements and wildlife weren’t enough, a mysterious nighttime visitor adds another wrinkle to their struggle for survival, tormenting them and adding to their mounting sense of desperation. Driven to their limits by hunger and exhaustion, they devise a plan to trap their unseen tormentor, a testament to the extremes they face.
Will the veteran conquer their ophidiophobia in the face of such adversity? Will they survive the Philippine jungle and its secrets? Find out on Discovery, Sunday, March 23rd at 9:01 PM ET/PT.
