“Narrow Escapes” is back on Channel 4, taking another look at the people who live on the UK’s canal network. From floating businesses to those who constantly travel the waterways, this series shows the ups and downs of life on the water. This Friday, 9 May at 4:00 PM GMT, the episode features stories of facing challenges, moments of joy, and chasing musical dreams.
Martin has to confront a fear as he tackles the Harecastle Tunnel on the Trent and Mersey Canal. Meanwhile, Debs and Mick finish their summer trip in Rugby, ready to celebrate their journey. In another story, Rhianna is getting ready for a concert on her boat – will the music go smoothly, or will there be some bumps along the way?
“Narrow Escapes” also shows the dedication of the Canal and River Trust and the hard work they do. We’ll see their important winter maintenance work, including putting in a lock gate in Kings Sutton.
